Updated June 2026
By accessing this website, submitting an application, registering for a course, attending a workshop, or participating in any training program offered by Walking the Ancient Way of the Medicine Wheel or its affiliate Open to True Freedom ("the Organization"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set forth in this Legal Disclaimer and Participant Agreement.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not enroll in or participate in any program offered by the Organization.
Educational Purpose
The Psychosynthesis training programs offered by the Organization are educational in nature and are intended to support personal, professional, and spiritual development. Program content may include lectures, discussions, experiential exercises, guided reflections, group activities, and educational materials. Participation in any program does not constitute psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, medical treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or any other licensed professional service. No participant should rely upon course materials, discussions, or instructor communications as a substitute for professional healthcare, psychological treatment, legal counsel, or other qualified professional services.
No Therapeutic Relationship
Enrollment in or participation in a training program does not establish a therapist-client relationship, counselor-client relationship, physician-patient relationship, or any other professional treatment relationship between participants and the instructor, facilitators, staff members, or the Organization. Participants remain solely responsible for seeking appropriate professional support for any medical, psychological, emotional, legal, financial, or personal matters that may arise during or after participation in a program.
Voluntary Participation
Participation in all programs, exercises, discussions, and activities is voluntary. Participants are responsible for determining their own level of engagement and may decline participation in any activity that causes discomfort or exceeds their personal boundaries. Each participant accepts full responsibility for their own decisions, actions, emotional responses, interpretations, and experiences arising from participation in a training program.
Participant Conduct and Community Standards
The Organization is committed to maintaining a learning environment characterized by mutual respect, professionalism, inclusion, and personal responsibility. By enrolling in a program, participants agree to interact with instructors, staff, guest presenters, and fellow participants in a respectful and appropriate manner. Participants agree to refrain from behavior that may disrupt the learning environment or compromise the safety, dignity, or well-being of others. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, threats, stalking, unwanted physical contact, inappropriate sexual conduct, sexual harassment, coercion, verbal abuse, hate speech, retaliation, or any other behavior that creates a hostile, unsafe, or disruptive environment. The Organization reserves the right to investigate reports of misconduct and may, at its sole discretion, suspend or remove a participant from a program without refund if their conduct is deemed harmful, inappropriate, unlawful, or inconsistent with the values and policies of the Organization.
Confidentiality and Group Participation
Many training programs involve group discussions and personal sharing among participants. While the Organization encourages confidentiality and respectful handling of personal information shared during program activities, the Organization cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality. Participants are encouraged to exercise discretion when sharing personal information and acknowledge that they assume responsibility for any information they voluntarily disclose during group activities, discussions, online forums, or community gatherings.
Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that personal growth, self-reflection, and group learning experiences may involve emotional, psychological, spiritual, or interpersonal challenges. By participating in a program, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with their involvement and accept responsibility for monitoring their own well-being throughout the course. Participants who have concerns regarding their emotional, psychological, or physical readiness for participation should consult an appropriate licensed professional before enrolling.
No Guarantee of Results
The Organization makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding any specific outcome resulting from participation in a training program. Individual results vary significantly based on personal circumstances, commitment, effort, background, readiness, and numerous other factors beyond the control of the Organization. Participation in a program does not guarantee personal transformation, professional advancement, employment opportunities, certification outcomes, business success, improved relationships, emotional healing, spiritual development, or any other particular result. Any testimonials, examples, or participant experiences presented by the Organization are illustrative only and should not be interpreted as promises or guarantees of future results.
Participant Responsibility
Each participant remains solely responsible for their own actions, decisions, statements, interactions, and conduct before, during, and after participation in any program. The Organization is not responsible for disputes, conflicts, relationships, communications, agreements, business arrangements, or interactions that may occur between participants during or following a training program. Participants agree to act responsibly, exercise sound judgment, and respect the rights, boundaries, and autonomy of others at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organization, its instructors, facilitators, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to participation in any program, use of the website, reliance upon course materials, or interactions with other participants. This limitation includes, without limitation, claims involving personal injury, emotional distress, loss of income, business interruption, loss of opportunity, reputational harm, data loss, or any other damages arising from participation in a program or use of the Organization's services. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the participant for the applicable program.
Release of Claims
By participating in a program, participants voluntarily release and discharge the Organization and its representatives from any claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in program activities, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, presentations, recordings, written content, exercises, handouts, graphics, logos, and educational resources provided by the Organization remain the intellectual property of the Organization or its licensors. Participants may use course materials for their personal educational purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, sell, or otherwise exploit such materials without prior written permission.
Online Programs and Technology
The Organization is not responsible for interruptions, delays, technical failures, internet connectivity issues, platform outages, equipment malfunctions, or other technological problems that may affect access to online programs or website services.
Right to Refuse or Terminate Participation
The Organization reserves the right to refuse admission, deny enrollment, suspend participation, or terminate a participant's involvement in any program when deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the learning environment, the safety of participants, compliance with applicable laws, or the mission and values of the Organization.
Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization, its instructors, facilitators, employees, contractors, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from the participant's conduct, actions, violations of these terms, or infringement of the rights of any third party.
Changes to These Terms
The Organization reserves the right to modify or update this Legal Disclaimer and Participant Agreement at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this website and become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
Governing Law
This Legal Disclaimer and Participant Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state or jurisdiction in which the Organization operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
